CONGRATS TO ZEUS, PETFIRST’S MAY PET OF THE MONTH!
Zeus is making the most out of his second chance at life and definitely deserves to be our May Pet of the Month!
“My best buddy Zeus came to me through Every Dog Counts Rescue in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am a volunteer for them and had not had a best friend since my Brutus passed on February 4, 2014. I decided to volunteer for EDCR and foster a rescue, well that lasted about 5 minutes after Zeus came through my front door. I am known as a foster failure, hahahahaha. Zeus has become my new “best friend” and after Brutus I never thought that would happen again as Brutus and I were together for 13 years. But Zeus captured my heart. Zeus was rescued because he was left outside and he was starved and his collar was imbedded in his neck which had to be surgically removed. He also had an obstruction in his stomach that had to be surgically removed all before I got him and right now he is only 10 months old. What do humans think when they take on care of a tiny little life and treat them so inhumanely. It angers me to no end.
The good news is that Zeus has won the lottery now that he is with me. He gets the best of care and pretty much anything he wants. We are inseparable. He is such a good and loving boy. Here is one of many pictures I have but thought this one was awesome. He actually climbed up on my motorcycle while I was talking to my neighbor. C’mon Dad, let’s go for a ride. Needless to say we didn’t but I am trying to find a safe means for him to go with me.”
